Five Premier League clubs as well as Juventus are all interested in making a move in the summer transfer window for Atalanta midfielder Ederson according to reports on Monday afternoon.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the English clubs interested in signing the 24-year-old all-rounder include Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle.
Juventus have also been following Ederson for some time already, as he is on the Old Lady’s list of potential midfield reinforcements for the summer, alongside fellow Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.
Like Juventus, Tottenham and Newcastle have also been monitoring Ederson for several months, dating back to before the January transfer window. The interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal is slightly more recent according to Monday’s update.
Atalanta, however, have no urgent need to sell. The club profited heavily from the sale of Rasmus Hojlund to Manchester United, while also receiving decent fees for the likes of Jeremie Boga, Merih Demiral, Joakim Maehle and Matteo Pessina.
La Dea will likely also be wanting to avoid losing both Ederson and Koopmeiners in the same transfer window, although the club have an impressive history of rebuilding their squad under Gian Piero Gasperini.
As it stands, La Gazzetta reports that Atalanta will not entertain offers under the €40m mark for Ederson this summer. That figure could still increase depending on performances before the end of the 2023-24 season.
