“Mario called me five months ago to start an intense period of individual preparation together,” Milanovic told Tuttosport.

“Mario called me five months ago to start an intense period of individual preparation together,” Milanovic told Tuttosport.
“Personal history is extremely important when it comes to specific work, it serves to collect data for fitness. Knowing him in person was relevant to create a successful program.
"We met every day to implement strength and endurance with personalized exercises and a special program created for him. But we also worked in the field,” he continued.
“Thanks to his commitment and resoluteness, everything was easier. We are talking about a striker who always wants to compete at the highest levels.”
Is the 34-year-old ready to play a game?
“Mario has a high level of strength and stamina, he is ready to work with the group," Milanovic said.
“He will need time to settle in, but it’s normal. Surely, it will take less time than what it normally takes for a regular footballer.
"I’ve been working with sportsmen form 20 years and I can guarantee Mario is in the top three of the athletes I’ve been working with, I expect him to be 100% fit in two or three weeks.
“He chose Milan because he wants to compete and win. He always gives his best, he is always 100% focused, during games and in training. I don’t know why he chose the No. 9 shirt, but he fears nothing and he knows how to achieve success.”
