Zlatan Ibrahimovic tried to boost Milan players’ mood on Monday and sent a message to the Rossoneri fans ahead of today’s Champions League fixture against Newcastle, joking that he wanted to play too.

Ibra followed the Rossoneri’s training session at Milanello on Monday with coach Stefano Pioli and CEO Giorgio Furlani.

The Serie A giants showed the video of Ibra’s arrival at Milanello and the first words he said were: “Come on, come, positive, energy!”

Ibra hoped to boost Milan players’ mood after a 5-1 loss against Inter on Saturday and Pioli said at a pre-match press conference on Monday that the ex-striker was supposed to be at Milanello even on the eve of the derby.

The Swede has also sent a message to the Rossoneri fans on Instagram on Tuesday morning.

“I came here to Milanello and I immediately told the coach that I’m ready to play, but my name wasn’t on the list,” he jokingly said.

“Although I am feeling good and fit. Jokes aside, keep supporting Milan, everything will be ok, see you at San Siro.”
