Leo Ostigard is expected to leave Napoli and is assessing an offer from French club Rennes. According to Tuttosport, he will be the first player leaving the Stadio Maradona this summer.
Ligue 1 side Rennes have sent a €7m offer to Napoli for Ostigard, but according to Radio Kiss Kiss, the 24-year-old has put talks with the French club on hold.
SpazioNapoli claims that Ostigard would rather stay in Serie A, so he’s waiting for an offer from an Italian club.
Ostigard is undoubtedly not part of Conte’s plans, as confirmed by Tuttosport on page 17 on Tuesday.
First player expected to leave Conte’s Napoli revealed
The Turin-based paper confirms Rennes’ offer and suggests that Ostigard will be the first player to leave the Partenopei this summer.
Conte, on the other hand, wants to continue assessing Brazilian defender Natan and Italian midfielder Gianluca Gaetano. The latter has returned from a favourable six-month loan at Cagliari.
Conte said last week that Napoli had entered the second phase of the summer, during which he would identify which players would depart and who could possibly join.
The Partenopei have already signed Rafa Marin, Alessandro Buongiorno and Leonardo Spinazzola and will get Romelu Lukaku if they reach an agreement to sell Victor Osimhen to PSG.
