Michele Di Gregorio, Tiago Djaló, Manuel Locatelli and Khéphren Thuram start for Juventus in their first summer friendly against FC Nürnberg.

New Juventus coach Thiago Motta has named the first line-up of his tenure in Turin.

Today, the Bianconeri meet FC Nürnberg in their first summer friendly, and their fans can watch some new signings, such as Di Gregorio and Thuram, for the first time in action.

The ex-Monza goalkeeper starts in goal, while Thuram joins Italy international Locatelli in central midfield.

Juventus have been training in Germany since July 20 and will return to Turin after today’s match.

Matias Soulé is not expected to be involved today as he will soon undergo his medical with Roma ahead of a permanent transfer to the Stadio Olimpico.

Other players, such as Federico Chiesa, Daniele Rugani, Filip Kostic, Arkadiusz Milik, Wojciech Szczęsny, Arthur, Mattia De Sciglio and Weston McKennie have not been training with the rest of the team in Germany, while Danilo, Bremer and Douglas Luiz are on holiday after participating in the Copa America with Brazil.

  1. Watched the game and it’s total failure. Existing problems are not solved and new problems appeared. There’s still no organize through the midfield.
