Junior Firpo will reject West Ham or any other Premier League destination in favour of Milan, claim reports, but Barcelona don’t want a dry loan.

The full-back has been repeatedly linked with a move to San Siro, though it would only be on loan with an option to buy.

“Milan like the player and he is interested in the Rossoneri,” Diario Sport writer Toni Juanmartì told MilanNews.it.

“However, Milan want him on loan so they can evaluate whether to buy at the end of the season. In any case, Firpo does want to go to Milan, but their offer does not satisfy Barcelona, who don’t want to be in the same situation a year from now.”

There are other contenders for the 24-year-old Dominican, but he has his heart set on Serie A.

“Along with Milan, there are several teams in England – particularly West Ham – who want Firpo. West Ham already made a formal offer to Barcelona, but the player prefers Italy to England, also for his personal life and his family.

“There has been interest in the past from Napoli and Inter. It’s currently a chess match between Barcelona and Firpo, trying to see who gets tired first. In my opinion, Barcelona will get fed up and Firpo will play at Milan next season.”
