Roberto Firmino has been linked with a move to Inter, but his agent reveals the Liverpool striker is in advanced talks to extend his contract with the Reds.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported in January that the Nerazzurri targeted the Brazilian forward whose contract at Anfield expires this coming June.

However, his agent Roger Wittman revealed the 31-year-old could soon sign a contract extension with the Reds.

“In February, we will probably know where the journey goes. We are on a good path. We’re having really good talks with Liverpool. This is an outstanding club,” the striker’s agent told Sky Sports Deutschland.

According to German reporter Florian Plettenberg, Firmino is expected to sign a new two-year deal with the Premier League giants.

Inter are planning a summer reshuffle and are considering the future of Romelu Lukaku at the Stadio Meazza. The Chelsea loanee has been struggling with injuries this season and has only started five games across all competitions since his return on loan from the Blues in 2022.

Firmino joined Liverpool in a €41m deal from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in 2015 and has scored 107 goals in 348 appearances with the Reds.
