Multiple reports in Italy claim Fiorentina have not received an official offer for Nico Gonzalez but, in any case, they are not willing to sell the Argentinean winger.

Sky Sport Italia reported on Tuesday that Leicester City had offered €34m to sign the 24-year-old. However, coach Vincenzo Italiano didn’t confirm the offer from England and both Gazzetta and Il Corriere dello Sport quote club sources saying that the Tuscans have not received official bids.

Both papers add that Fiorentina do not want to sell Nico, so even if they receive an offer in the current transfer window, they will reject it. According to Il Corriere Fiorentino, Atletico Madrid are also interested in the Argentinean winger, but Fiorentina’s stance won’t change.

Nico has been struggling with injuries this season but still managed five goals in 11 appearances, one every 82 minutes. He missed Qatar 2022 due to an injury after being initially included in Lionel Scaloni’s 26-man squad list.

He joined the Tuscans in the summer of 2021 from Stuttgart for €24m plus add-ons and his contract at the Stadio Franchi expires in June 2026.
