Fiorentina must do without striker Nicolas Gonzalez against Lazio after he tested positive for COVID-19.
The forward was on target in Sunday’s 3-0 Serie A victory against Cagliari and had been expected to start tomorrow against Lazio.
However, a statement from the club confirms Gonzalez has tested positive for COVID-19.
He is asymptomatic and has already been placed into self-isolation.
The Fiorentina group will enter a ‘bubble’ and follow the protocols leading up to tomorrow’s midweek round match.
It is a blow for coach Vincenzo Italiano, who already has to do without injured Bartlomiej Dragowski and Erick Pulgar.
Riccardo Sottil returns after missing the Cagliari game through a one-match ban.
Fiorentina squad for Lazio: Rosati, Terracciano, Fogli; Biraghi, Igor, Quarta, Milenkovic, Nastasic, Odriozola, Terzic, Venuti; Amrabat, Benassi, Bianco, Bonaventura, Castrovilli, Dunca, Maleh, Torreira; Kokorin, Callejon, Saponara, Sottil, Toci, Vlahovic
Medical update: Nico Gonzalez tests positive to Covid-19.
