Andrea Della Valle has said that Fiorentina have a 'more important Cup' to play for than the Coppa Italia as he sets his eyes on the Europa League Final.

The Viola may have crashed out of the Italian tournament after yesterday's 3-0 drubbing by Juventus, but are still in with a shout for the Europa League quarter-finals, to be played against Dynamo Kyiv.

“We must defend fourth place, try and make it to third, and do what we can to go to Warsaw [for the Europa League Final],” said the club's co-owner after yesterday's game.

“We still have a Cup that's even more important, and within reach. Now we must show faith in it.

“This is a great team that is giving hope to a great city. We still have dreams that can come true. Our real supporters won't get angry for a game like this, because incidents made a difference.

“Now we must try to win in Naples too [in our next Serie A fixture]. We've always picked ourselves up. I'll have trouble sleeping just like anyone else after this defeat, but we must dream of other objectives.”

Della Valle was also asked about Giuseppe Rossi, whose return to action after a long injury spell is said to be imminent.

“We hope that Rossi comes back soon. He can take his time though, because we have many replacements on the bench.”
