Fiorentina without Dragowski for six weeks

Fiorentina goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski will be on the treatment table for circa six weeks after a serious injury, according to reports from Poland.

The shot-stopper was taking a kick during the final minutes of the 2-1 Serie A home defeat to Napoli on Sunday when he suddenly crumpled to the ground.

He immediately appeared to be in a great deal of pain and was crying into his jersey in stoppages, having to finish the match.

According to Sport.pl, tests have shown that Dragowski tore the quadricep in his right leg.

That would mean roughly six weeks out of action for both Fiorentina and Poland.

He has already been replaced in the Poland squad on international duty by Radoslaw Majecki, while Pietro Terracciano is ready to step in for the Viola.

That match with Napoli was already an unlucky one for Dragowski, who had been able to parry both Lorenzo Insigne’s penalty and the follow-up, but was helpless when Hirving Lozano turned in at the third time of asking.
