One Serie A side have already lost a European final but these Fiorentina vs. West Ham predictions give the Viola a chance of capturing some silverware this season.

Fiorentina vs. West Ham odds

1 – The draw – 9/4

2 – Over 2.5 goals scored – 23/20

3 – Both teams to score – 5/6

4 – Fiorentina to lift the trophy – 10/11

5 – Fiorentina to score over 1.5 goals – 13/8

Fiorentina have already tasted cup final defeat this season – and await the ongoing saga surrounding Juventus’ possible European ban for a final league position. But the Europa Conference League final against West Ham on Wednesday gives the Viola another chance of European football next season.

The winner will take their place in next season’s Europa League competition, as Roma managed last year. Fiorentina have looked particularly impressive in the Europa Conference League this year and will fancy their chances against a side that have struggled in their domestic league.

The second half of the campaign was a real positive for Vincenzo Italiano’s side, reaching the Coppa Italia final, consolidating a top half finish in Serie A, and reaching this game as well. The second leg win away against Basel was an excellent display of the team’s fighting abilities and that should hold them in good stead in Prague.

West Ham’s Premier League season has been anything but successful, with the threat of relegation only banished just before the end of the campaign. David Moyes has looked like he was on his way out of the London Stadium on a number of occasions and it is not an overstatement to suggest that reaching this final has saved his job.

For all their domestic woes, West Ham have excelled in this competition though. The Hammers are unbeaten, winning all six group games and all but one of the knockout games en route to the final at the Fortuna Arena.

This promises to be an entertaining battle between two evenly balanced sides. The attacking talent in both squads could make it something of a goal-fest as well. Like the Europa League final, this could go to at least extra time – but there should be more goals to enjoy from both sides as they look to lift a European trophy for the first time since the 1960s.

Fiorentina team news

Vincenzo Italiano should not have any new injury worries ahead of this encounter. But he will have a number of decisions to make across his starting XI. Most important could be who leads the line up front. Arthur Cabral could get the nod, although Luka Jović would provide a lot of top-level experience and know-how.

West Ham team news

David Moyes has little injury problems to deal with as well and will look to start an XI that will take the game to Fiorentina. Jarrod Bowen could begin the game on the right in front of Pablo Fornals, while Michail Antonio will be given the job of unsettling the Viola defence up front.
