These Fiorentina vs. Torino predictions see two very evenly matched Serie A sides come together on Saturday. The visitors are without a win in four league matches but will hope to benefit from their host’s inconsistent form.

2 – Under 2.5 goals – 8/11

3 – Both teams to score – 19/20

4 – A draw at full-time – 49/20

5 – The match to end 1-1 – 28/5

Fiorentina welcome Torino to the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Saturday afternoon hoping to leapfrog their opponents in the Serie A table. The two teams are locked on 28 points in the league standings, with the Granata’s goal difference narrowly handing them supremacy over La Viola.

Ivan Juric’s side have struggled in recent weeks, with their Coppa Italia victory over Milan last week their only taste of success in five matches. The manager has not shied away from his opinion that the squad needs reinforcing in the transfer market. But the financial position of the club means this is unlikely.

Fiorentina, on the other hand, did see a number of new faces through the door over the summer although it has done them little good – with big-name signing Luka Jovic on just three goals for the season. La Viola’s struggles in front of goal were very much evident in Sunday’s defeat to Roma, as they managed just three shots on target.

For Torino, offensive phases have been even harder to come by and they are averaging just one goal per game with 18 played. Typically, Saturday’s game has been a relatively high scoring fixture. However, given the poor attacking output of both teams, a wager on under 2.5 goals scored at the Artemio Franchi may be worthwhile.

At the other end of the pitch both teams have been a little better, with Torino boasting the joint fifth best defensive record in the league. Even so, the Granata are without a clean sheet in four league matches, with Fiorentina achieving just one in their last 11 games. Saturday’s game therefore could well see both teams break the deadlock.

Given the parity between the two games on paper, it would come as no surprise to see Saturday’s game end in a deadlock. Three of Torino’s last four Serie A matches have finished 1-1, so punters looking for higher odds may well look to this result.
