Daniele Prade has confirmed that Jordan Veretout wants to leave Fiorentina but assured fans they have ‘a bigger budget to work with’.
Fiorentina were recently taken over by Italo-American billionaire Rocco Commisso, with Prade returning as sporting director.
“As for Financial Fair Play, the President and Joe [Barone] have organised a meeting to understand how it works,” he said at his official unveiling on Thursday.
“We’ve already put a plan together. I have a bigger budget to work with than in previous years.

“Right now, we have some problems. The club have 73 people on their books, with two coming back in December.
“We must streamline our operations because 60 of them aren’t functional to our project.
“We won’t buy De Paul because Fiorentina won’t pay what is being quoted.
“In the meantime, Veretout has asked to be sold so he can play at a higher level, but we still haven’t received any offers.
“He’s a smart lad and we hope to find a solution for him.”
Commisso has maintained that he will not sell Chiesa, and the 52-year-old was asked for his opinion on the winger.
“Only President Commisso can answer that. When Federico comes back from holiday, I’ll talk to him and we’ll come to an understanding.”
