Fiorentina have been fined €50,000 and seen away fans banned from two Conference League away fixtures, while FC Twente face disciplinary action from UEFA for racist chants against Lazio.

UEFA announced its disciplinary measures following the most recent matches in the Conference League and Europa League in October 2024, two of which involved Italian clubs.

Fiorentina saw their 4-2 Conference League victory away to St. Gallen repeatedly interrupted by the throwing of fireworks onto the pitch and doing damage to the stands.

The Viola were already on probation for similar issues from June 2024, so that suspended sentence has been enforced to ban the sale of tickets for one away match, with the addition of a further one-match UEFA ban on travelling supporters.

Fiorentina must also pay a €50,000 fine to UEFA and contact St. Gallen within 30 days to settle a sum for damages caused by their fans in Switzerland.

The disciplinary commission also announced that FC Twente have been found guilty of racist chants aimed at Lazio player Loum Tchaouna during the Europa League encounter in the Netherlands.

Twente have been fined €40,000 and the partial closure of the 2,000 seats in the West stand behind the goal for the next Europa League home match.

They were also fined €10,000 for transmitting a message that is not fit for a sports event, and a further €33,125 for throwing of objects.
