UEFA named its Conference League Team of the Year, including Nico Gonzalez, Cristiano Biraghi and Nikola Milenkovic, but not top scorer Arthur Cabral.

The Viola lost the Final with a 2-1 result to West Ham United last night in Prague.

As trophy winners, the Premier League side had six players in the ideal XI for the tournament overall, including goalkeeper Alphonse Areola and former Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta.

However, Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen completed the trident attack with Fiorentina striker Nico Gonzalez.

It means there is no room for the competition’s top scorers, Arthur Cabral of the Viola and FC Basel forward Zeki Amdouni, who got seven goals apiece.

Antonio only scored six, the same as Fiorentina’s Luka Jovic.

Fiorentina were also the top scorers in the Conference League overall, yet their picks in the Team of the Year were primarily defensive, choosing captain Biraghi and centre-back Milenkovic.

Semi-finalists FC Basel completed the squad with Andy Diouf and Dan Ndoye.
