Fiorentina are not only eager to keep Mohamed Salah for another year, but want to sign him permanently from Chelsea for €18m.
The Egyptian wide attacker arrived on loan as part of the Juan Guillermo Cuadrado deal in January.
That involved the right to extend the loan by another season for €1m – a figure the Viola have already paid ahead of schedule – and another option to make the move permanent for €18m (£12.8m) in 2016.

Salah also has the power of veto over his future, amid interest from numerous clubs including Inter, Juventus and Tottenham.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Fiorentina have told Salah he can be the centre of their future plans with new Coach Paulo Sousa.
He could sign a five-year contract and make the departure from Chelsea permanent for the agreed €18m fee now rather than next year.
