The Viola picked up Josip Brekalo from VfL Wolfsburg and he will have his medical tomorrow morning.
They have also been strongly linked with 19-year-old Velez Sarsfield centre-back Valentin Gomez.

Fiorentina have set their sights on 20-year-old midfielder Medina, who was a regular for Argentina at Under-17 level.
The offer being discussed is reportedly worth €6m, a large investment for a promising young talent.
Medina is a product of the Boca Juniors academy who was promoted to the senior squad in 2020.
Throughout last season, he made 41 competitive appearances for the club, providing three assists.
Fiorentina already have several players in the squad from Argentina, including Nico Gonzalez and Lucas Martinez Quarta.
