Fiorentina striker M’Bala Nzola is having his medical with RC Lens today after agreed a loan move with €9m option to buy at the end of the season.
The centre-forward was a favourite of former Viola coach Vincenzo Italiano, but no longer part of their plans under new boss Raffaele Palladino.
According to Footmercato, the deal is going to be a loan with option to buy in June 2025 for €9m.
There is also a three-year contract baked into the agreement.
Nzola spent most of career in Italy
There had also been interest from numerous Serie A sides, including Cagliari, Genoa, Lecce, Verona and in Serie B Palermo.
The Angola international turns 28 later this month and has been in Italy since 2016, playing for Virtus Francavilla, Carpi, Trapani, Spezia and Fiorentina, who he joined last summer for €12.6m plus add-ons.
He scored seven goals with five assists in 47 competitive appearances for the Viola.
