Fiorentina have released images of their striking new home strip for the 2023-24 season, which subsequently went on sale on Friday afternoon.
With its throwback collar, the home shirt is a modern adaptation of a slightly retro look, perhaps a nod to some of the iconic kits of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The pattern on the new kit features the Iris Fiorentina flower, a historic symbol around the city of Florence, which is printed all over the front and back panels of the shirt, combining to create a DNA-like effect.
Manufacturers Kappa have also included an inscription on the shirt’s collar, which reads: “Play to be different.” On the inside of the collar, there are thirteen flowers, intended as a tribute to former captain Davide Astori.
