Fiorentina reject Man United loan proposal for Amrabat

Fiorentina have reportedly rejected a loan proposal from Manchester United for midfielder Sofyan Amrabat that was submitted earlier in the day on Tuesday.

As per reports from David Ornstein of the Athletic, United had been pushing La Viola to allow Amrabat to leave on loan in order to comply with financial fair play regulations.

Despite being valued in the region of €30m-€35m, United had presented Fiorentina with an offer of a €2m loan fee to be paid in two separate instalments according to an update from James Horncastle.

United’s proposal would also have included a break clause in January, which would have come before the due date of the second instalment, meaning that Fiorentina would have only been guaranteed a fee of €1m.

As has always been the case, Fiorentina would prefer to find a permanent buyer for Amrabat, who has had plenty of interest from a number of teams across Europe over the last nine months.
