Fiorentina director Joe Barone refuses to rule out Dusan Vlahovic’s exit in January: ‘We are preparing for the future.’

The Serbian striker won’t extend his contract expiring in June 2023 and there are rumours Fiorentina could sell him in the winter transfer window.

When asked if Fiorentina are considering such an option, the club’s director Barone told DAZN: “It’s tough to go into details, we have a game tonight and an entire season ahead. There are many games remaining before January, we are very attentive on the market and for all positions, not just the attack.

“Vlahovic is part of the team, he took a decision and we are preparing for the future, not just in terms of singles, but also in terms of the group.”

La Viola visit Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico tonight.

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time.

“It’s an important game for us, we are improving, we must get a great result,” Barone said.
