“It is always special for me to play against Barcelona, especially as they won everything last season,” Paulo Sousa’s assistant manager Sanchez told Spanish newspaper Sport.

“I will have the opportunity to meet with players who grew up with me in the Cantera, like Sergi Roberto, Rafinha and Sandro.

“We are satisfied with our first few weeks at Fiorentina, as we have players of a very high level. The matches against Barcelona and Chelsea will allow us to get a more precise idea of the situation.

“This game will be important because the players understand what we want. The previous Coach did an excellent job, so we only need to make small changes.

“It’s a world class appointment and will help us to grow further. We are ready for this challenge.”
