After securing the signature of Andrea Belotti on loan from Roma, Fiorentina are pushing to sign Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa.

The Tuscans have welcomed a new centre forward, but are also working to give Vincenzo Italiano a new attacking winger for the second part of the campaign.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims the Tuscans have offered €22m to sign Genoa star Gudmundsson, but the Grifone are unwilling to part company with the 26-year-old for less than €25m. According to Sky Sport Italia, Genoa’s asking price for their star is even higher at €30m.

Genoa are in no rush to sell Gudmundsson, their best scorer this season, after sending Radu Dragusin to Tottenham at the beginning of the January transfer window.

Gudmundsson has recently signed a contract extension until 2027 and has also been linked with a move to West Ham.

Sky Sport Italia reported in January that Genoa had turned down an approach from the Hammers last month, planning to sell the striker at the end of the season.
