The Florentine outlet report that perhaps the best chance of Fiorentina opening up negotiations with the 31-year-old would only come through him first terminating his contract with Guangzhou.
However, on around €10m net per year, the playmaker is believed as likely to angle for a majority of his remaining salary to be paid up, in any negotiations to leave the Chinese club.
