Fiorentina have announced captain German Pezzella will need further tests, as Pol Lirola has injured his ankle and Franck Ribery is out with a muscle strain.
The Viola beat Udinese 3-2 on Sunday, but the Argentine captain was forced off during the first half of the match ‘due to a sprained right ankle’.
“The players condition will be assessed over the next few days,” Fiorentina said about the centre-back in a statement published on their official website.

“Pol Lirola left the pitch following a hit to his right ankle and Franck Ribery was not available to coach [Beppe] Iachini, having not yet fully recovered from a muscle strain he suffered during the match against Spezia last week.”
Next up for Fiorentina is a home game against Calcio Padova in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday, before travelling to the Italian capital for a League match against Roma on Sunday.
