The 29-year-old Moroccan international spent last season in Florence on a co-ownership basis from Genoa. Whilst La Viola won full rights to the player in this summer’s subsequent closed envelope bidding, they have confirmed today the early settlement on his contract.
“ACF Fiorentina announces that it has reached an agreement with the player Houssine Kharja for the early consensual resolution of his contract,” read the brief statement posted on the club’s official website.
The midfielder, who also had a brief spell with Inter, reportedly signed a two-year deal with Qatari outfit Al Arabi less than a fortnight ago.
