Adnkronos reported earlier this evening that they were among eight sides in opposition to fulfilling the 2019-20 campaign on the basis of ‘incalculable risks’ posed by coronavirus.

However, Fiorentina hit back in a statement: “Fiorentina categorically deny declaring themselves to be against resuming the season.

“Fiorentina have always declared themselves to be completely receptive to the decisions that the Lega and government may take.”

Parma followed suit with their own press release, which expressed the club’s ‘full willingness’ to resume the season.

As it stands, Torino, Bologna, Sampdoria, Brescia, SPAL and Udinese are against 19-20 being completed.
