Fiorentina have overtaken Manchester United for goals scored in 2023 and only Real Madrid and Man City have been more prolific than the Tuscans this year.

Fiorentina climbed to third place in Serie A thanks to a 3-0 win over Cagliari on Monday night.

As highlighted by Opta, Fiorentina’s latest victory also means the Tuscans are now the third most prolific club in Europe’s top five leagues in 2023.

Vincenzo Italiano’s side have scored 82 goals across all competitions this year, one more than Manchester United and two more than Bayern Munich.

Only Real Madrid (92) and Manchester City (102) have scored more since January.

Fiorentina reached the Conference League and Coppa Italia Final in 2022-23. They finished ninth in Serie A, but still qualified for the Conference League following Juventus‘ European ban.

Strikers Luka Jovic and Arthur Cabral scored 13 and 17 goals respectively last season, but have now left the club and been replaced by M’Bala Nzola and Lucas Beltran.

Nico Gonzalez is Fiorentina’s best scorer this season with six goals in 9 appearances so far.
