Bittante’s snooker shot, a Camporese header and Gondo penalty earned by Diakhate rounded out the first half at 6-0.

There were numerous changes in the second period, including more recognisable names in the line-up.

Mario Gomez prompted an own goal from Trentino, Ante Rebic nodded in a Federico Bernardeschi cross and completed his brace at the back post.

Gomez did get on the scoresheet in the final minutes thanks to a generous Rebic assist.
