Fiorentina Coach Paulo Sousa calls on his players to show “the right attitude” against Lech Poznan.

The Viola welcome the Polish side to Artemio Franchi in the Europa League tomorrow, but it has been suggested they could take it easy, with a big game against Roma on Sunday.

“We care very much about the game tomorrow,” Sousa insisted in his pre-match Press conference.

“When you talk of wanting to return to normality with a game like against Roma, that’s what I mean when I talk about culture.

“We must have the ability to make sure this kind of thing is customary every year. We’re trying to create good habits, to give consistency to what we’re doing.

“I didn’t see the Giallorossi’s Champions League game [a 4-4 draw with Bayer Leverkusen], because I want to concentrate on my game tomorrow.

“I always work in advance, but we’ll only concentrate on Roma after the match with Lech.

“I try to lead my players by example. The lads have to know I’m concentrated on the game tomorrow, and that this is the right attitude to have.

“I think the biggest risk is application and individual attitude. To win a game these days it’s not enough to be stronger, it’s the fundamental attitude.”

However, the Portuguese Coach did concede that there may be some rotation tomorrow night.

“Players want opportunities, and I’ll be happy to give them to those who play tomorrow. Players recovering from injury are coming into contention, and I’ll try to give them a few minutes.

“I want to see the same identity, the same logic that we display when we go onto the pitch.

“That’s our culture.”
