Fiorentina have lost midfielder Marcos Alonso to a thigh strain, the club confirms.
The Spaniard, who can also play at left-back, was substituted after 55 minutes of Sunday’s defeat to Napoli, and had medical tests today.
“Marcos Alonso was today subjected to diagnostic tests which showed a strain to the myotendinous junction of the left thigh, obtained during the match yesterday,” a statement on the Viola’s website announced.

It’s good news for Coach Paulo Sousa, as the midfielder has not suffered a tear, but he could still miss the Europa League clash with Lech Poznan.
