Thanks to other results, they now know that their opponents will be either Hungarian team Puskas Akademia or the Armenian club Ararat.
Coach Raffaele Palladino will be able to start preparing for a specific rival when those two teams complete their round on August 8 and 15.
Tough start to season for Fiorentina
The first leg for Fiorentina in the play-off will be played on August 22 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, then the second leg is away on August 29.
They begin their Serie A season on August 17 away to Parma, then have a trip to Venezia on August 25 and host Monza on September 1, so they really need to hit the ground running under a new coach.
