Fiorentina are reportedly hoping to strike a deal with Genoa for 2023-24 leading goalscorer Albert Gudmundsson in the event that Nico Gonzalez leaves later on in the transfer window.

Fiorentina eye Gudmundsson to replace Nico Gonzalez

Gonzalez has been linked with a move to both Thiago Motta’s Juventus and Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta, who could be in need of a Teun Koopmeiners replacement at some point this month.

Gianluca Di Marzio suggests that Gudmundsson is Fiorentina’s new priority in the transfer window, but la Viola have several other positions they would also like to strengthen in the coming weeks.

A new goalkeeper is also on Raffaele Palladino’s wishlist. Free agent David De Gea has been suggested as a possible option, while Stefano Turati has also been mentioned as a more sensible option.

Fiorentina are also still working on a deal for USA midfielder Tanner Tessmann from newly-promoted Venezia.

Fiorentina have already welcomed former Juventus striker Moise Kean and attacking midfielder Andrea Colpani from Monza so far this window.
