Brazilian reports suggest that Botafogo have accepted an offer for full-back Gilberto from Fiorentina.
Globo Esporte has reported that the Viola have had a bid accepted for the move to go ahead this summer, rather than an anticipated January move.
The 22-year-old’s deal with the Brazilian club runs out in December and therefore a transfer was expected to be arranged for the winter window, but Fiorentina are believed to want to strengthen before then.
