Fiorentina were paired with Viktoria Plzen in the Conference League quarter-finals and were placed on the opposite side of the draw from Aston Villa.
Fiorentina were drawn with Viktoria Plzen in the Conference League quarter-final draw in Nyon on Friday.
The first leg will be played in Plzen on April 11, while the decider will be at the Stadio Franchi in Florence the following week, on April 18.
Fiorentina not only avoided the favourite team to win the competition, Aston Villa, in the quarter-finals but will also not meet Unai Emery’s side in the semis, provided they qualify.
In fact, the Tuscans were placed on the same side of the draw as Club Brugge and PAOK and will meet one of these two teams if they beat Viktoria Plzen in the quarter-finals.
Fiorentina reached the Conference League Final last year but lost to West Ham. The Tuscans currently sit 8th in the Serie A table.
