With Dusan Vlahovic going to Juventus, Fiorentina already have his replacement lined up with a €14m deal for FC Basel striker Arthur Cabral.
According to Sportitalia, Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.it, the choice has been made and negotiations at an advanced stage.
The initial €10m bid was rejected, but a deal should be done for €14-15m including performance-related bonuses.
Cabral’s current contract with FC Basel only runs to June 2023 and he is ready for the next step up in his career.
The 23-year-old Brazilian made the move from Palmeiras in 2019, initially on loan and then on a permanent basis for a total €7m fee.
He has scored an impressive 27 goals in 31 competitive games for Basel so far this season, including five in six Europa Conference League matches.
Fiorentina have reportedly agreed a deal with Juventus for Vlahovic, which is worth €67m plus various bonuses taking the total to the €75m asking price.
The Serbian striker will sign a contract to June 2026 worth €7m per season.

Never heard of this guy. Hopefully Fiorentina spend the Vlahovic money wisely.
Oh my God. Have you seen some of his goals or his stats?
His numbers looks impressive but who knows how will adapt to Serie A.
@ACM1899
yeah they’ll buy leao and make him rotten in the dugout.
How about comparing his stats to Vlahovic, who is also two years younger? Juventus struck gold here. That being said though, he’s not gonna make much difference with that awful Juventus midfield and defensive playing style.
