Fiorentina are revamping their midfield, as after agreeing terms with Juventus for Rolando Mandragora, they have now made an offer for Leicester City’s Dennis Praet, who also just completed a Torino loan.

Mandragora has decided he will snub Torino after his loan period there and accept the move to the Stadio Artemio Franchi for circa €10m including bonuses.

They are already on to the next target, as Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims they have made a proposal worth €7m to Leicester City for Praet.

Curiously, he too spent this season on loan at Torino and again the Granata tried and failed to negotiate a permanent stay.

The 28-year-old Belgium international was on loan at a cost of €1m and scored two goals with two assists in 23 Serie A appearances for Toro.

It’s reported he could join Fiorentina instead for €7m, or on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

Praet spent much of his career in Italy, as he was at Sampdoria from 2016 until the €19m move to Leicester in 2019.

  1. For 3 years Fiorentina tried to bring Praet and always failed because he didn’t want to join.. Does Prade not have a list of other potential players besides the players he brought to Italy in the past..?
