Fiorentina have had to explain why new signing Moise Kean couldn’t seem to hit the target during a game of ‘giant darts’ on the day of his unveiling.
A video went viral on social media showing the former Juventus striker seemingly struggling to get the ball to hit a giant, inflatable darts board from about 12 yards away. Kean hit the number 17 at the bottom of the board on his first attempt, but then failed to lift the ball high enough on his following two shots.
The club have since confirmed that Kean was taking part in a small competition with a group of children, and that he did not want to upstage them in front of the cameras.
“Warriors on the pitch, loyal with the kid: That is how champions are,” Fiorentina posted on social media, along with a video of a number of young players having a go at the game.
