Pietro Terracciano and Nico Gonzalez seek Fiorentina‘s revenge against West Ham after losing a Coppa Italia Final against Inter last week.

The pair spoke to Sky Sport Italia alongside Vincenzo Italiano during a media day organised by UEFA at the Stadio Franchi on Thursday.

“We must face all games in the best way knowing that the Final is very important for us and the city. It’s the game of the season in Prague,” said Terracciano.

“It will be different from the Coppa Italia Final. We’ll face a different opponent. But we played a great game against Inter and I am sure the same will happen with West Ham. This is our certainty, we’ll give our all to win the trophy, but we think about Sassuolo now.”

The Tuscans lost the Coppa Italia Final against Inter last week. They’ve been waiting for their first major trophy since 2001 when they won the Coppa Italia and the Supercup.

Tomorrow, Friday, June 2, they will meet Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium in the last Serie A game of the season. The Conference League Final against West Ham will be played on June 7 in Prague and Terracciano expects a huge push from Tuscans’ supporters.

“Fans in Florence is thrilling and even more in a Final. We didn’t want to leave the Olimpico because they put on a show for 90 minutes. Their support will help us in the Final.”

Nico Gonzalez had scored an early opener against the Nerazzurri in Rome, but Inter managed to put their hands on the Coppa Italia thanks to a brace of his compatriot Lautaro Martinez.

“We are experiencing so many emotions, I am happy to have reached two Finals. We lost the first one, but now there is another big game and we want to win,” said Nico.

“Some things hurt me last year, especially not going to the World Cup. I wasn’t fit, but some thought it was a fake injury. I never did it, I always want to be 100% when I play football. We have 90 minutes and we want to make the difference.”
