Fiorentina director Joe Barone denies the club has received an offer from Juventus for Dusan Vlahovic.

La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper reported today that the Bianconeri are ready to place a €35m bid for Vlahovic, adding Dejan Kulusevski to the deal.

However, Baron has denied that La Viola has received an offer from Turin.

“We didn’t receive any offer from Juventus and we don’t know what the player wants to do. He must inform us sooner or later.”

Barone had released another interview with La Nazione newspaper in the morning, suggesting that Fiorentina are ready to sell their star striker in the January transfer window.

The Tuscans are no longer on good terms with the striker’s entourage and their asking price for Vlahovic is €75-80m.

The 21-year-old became Europe’s second most prolific striker in 2021 and has netted 17 goals in 21 Serie A games this term.

His €800,000-a-year contract expires in June 2023 and Fiorentina want to sell him as soon as possible after seeing a new €4m-a-year extension offer rejected.
