“His dream has always been to coach in Florence,” the 78-year-old told Tuttomercatoweb from the Football Leader event.
“His desire to return home to finish his career could be an added bonus.”
The former Inter and Roma boss was born in Tuscany and previously managed the Viola’s local rivals Empoli.
