Fiorentina considering Betis bid for Pezzella

Fiorentina and their captain German Pezzella are reportedly giving serious thought to an offer from Real Betis.

The 30-year-old Argentina international is only under contract until June 2022 and negotiations for an extension seem to be at a standstill.

According to transfer pundit Niccolò Ceccarini, Real Betis have made a proposal that is giving both the club and defender reason to evaluate it carefully.

This would represent a return to Seville for Pezzella, who already played there from 2015 until his move to Fiorentina in 2017.

He is fresh from winning the Copa America with Argentina and is looking for a new challenge after the Viola flirted with the threat of relegation last season.

Fiorentina are already in the middle of another transfer story, with Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur in a bidding war for striker Dusan Vlahovic.

The asking price for the forward is €80m and Atleti have come closest with a reported €70m plus bonuses.
