Fiorentina have confirmed that M’Bala Nzola and Oliver Christensen have both arrived at the club’s training ground ahead of their moves from Spezia and Hertha Berlin respectively.

La Viola director Joe Barone confirmed that the club had reached a deal with Spezia for Nzola on Tuesday and that the player would arrive for his medical on Wednesday.

It has been reported by SportItalia and Sky Sport Italia that Fiorentina have agreed to pay Spezia a fee of around €12m for Nzola’s services.

Nzola has spent the last three-and-a-half seasons with Spezia, initially joining on loan from Trapani before signing permanently in the summer of 2020. Since then, he has gone on to produce 26 goals from 77 appearances in Serie A.

Now with Fiorentina, Nzola is reunited with Vincenzo Italiano once again, having previously worked together at both Trapani and Spezia.

Later on Wednesday morning, Fiorentina also confirmed that goalkeeper Christensen had arrived at the club’s training ground and like Nzola, is in for a medical before the official sining of his contract.

It is believed that Fiorentina will pay somewhere in the region of €5m-€6m to Hertha to acquire the Dane.
