Fiorentina have announced that Oliver Christensen was diagnosed with a Grade I tear to the left thigh and will be out for several weeks.
The goalkeeper had been due to start Thursday’s Conference League game against Ferencvaros when he pulled out during the warm-up.
He was replaced between the posts by colleague Pietro Terracciano for the eventual 2-2 draw at the Stadio Franchi.
Christensen underwent tests and Fiorentina confirmed today that he has been diagnosed with a Grade I tear of the rectus femoris in the left thigh.
He will undergo treatment and be re-evaluated over the break for international duty, but is expected to be out for at least a couple of weeks.
