Fiorentina have increased their offer for FC Porto midfielder Sergio Oliviera to €18m plus bonuses and are close to a deal.
According to transfer pundits Niccolò Ceccarini and Nicolò Schira, the negotiations are progressing well after the initial €12m plus bonuses bid was rejected.
Along with the €2m in add-ons, the proposal should now reach the €20m asking price.
The 29-year-old was specifically requested by new Viola coach Gennaro Gattuso.
He has 11 senior caps for Portugal and came up through the Porto academy, although he also had several loan spells, including FC Nantes and PAOK Salonika.
