Fiorentina have reportedly made an initial €10m offer for Shakhtar Donetsk right-back Dodo.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia, the first bid has been made this evening, though it is still some way off the €15m asking price.

Shakhtar Donetsk were in the Champions League this season under the guidance of Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi, until the Russian invasion of Ukraine halted their season in March.

Director of sport Darijo Srna is expected in Florence over the next few days, possibly only on vacation, but he will also have an opportunity to speak to the Viola.

Dodo is a very attack-minded 23-year-old right-back from Brazil who moved to Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2018, although he had a brief loan spell in Portugal with Vitoria Guimaraes in the 2018-19 season.

Fiorentina are seeking a new player on the right after failing to agree a permanent transfer for Alvaro Odriozola, who was at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on loan from Real Madrid this season.
