Fiorentina could reportedly use some of the money raised by the sale of Juan Cuadrado to fund a bid for Martin Montoya of Barcelona.

Cuadrado is set to join English Premier League side Chelsea, with only formalities still to be completed before the deal is officially announced.

That transfer is set to bring in a fee of €33m, and Calciomercato reports that some of that money could be used to buy Montoya.

The player’s agent has already announced that he will leave Camp Nou in this transfer window, with Juventus reportedly interested.

However, Calciomercato states that the Viola have made contact with Barcelona to see if there is a possibility of tempting the Spaniard to Florence.
