Spanish sources claim Real Madrid want Fiorentina to take Luka Jovic on loan with an obligation to buy, whereas the Viola would prefer only an option.

Multiple reports in Italy and Spain are confident the deal can be done, with agent Fali Ramadani hard at work on the negotiations.

However, while Fiorentina would be more than happy to take Jovic on loan with an option to buy, and Real Madrid shouldering half his €6m per season salary, that is not the situation on offer.

According to Diario AS, Real Madrid are holding out to make this a loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season.

Jovic is a 24-year-old with 26 senior caps for Serbia, in which he was able to score nine goals.

He earned a €63m transfer to Real Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019, but struggled to make an impact and this season only had 19 competitive appearances under the guidance of coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Ramadani is also working on the future of Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, who has been strongly linked with a summer move to Inter.
