Fiorentina's Mauro Zarate was banned for three games for grabbing an opponent by the neck, while Marcos Mendoza skips the next match for having received his fifth booking.

Inter's Geoffrey Kondogbia was suspended for two Serie A games for sarcastically applauding the referee at the end of the match, while Alex Telles skips one game due to his red card, and so does Gary Medel, who reached his fifth booking.

The only other players to be suspended, both for one game due to booking accumulation, are Chievo's Ivan Radovanovic and Empoli's Mario Rui.
